Begin with the vehicle and the installation.
Type 2 is a starting point for a European AC charging brief. For a portable unit, the supply-side plug must also match the destination country and the approved current.
- Confirm single- or three-phase site supply and the vehicle's onboard AC limit.
- Specify the exact country, input connection, cable length and installation context.
- Request the documents applicable to the selected configuration and country before ordering.

North America
Check Type 1 and NACS separately.
The vehicle's charging inlet and the supply connection are different decisions. Define Type 1 and NACS requirements separately and check the actual equipment against the vehicle. Product selection is currently under review.
- Record the vehicle inlet and model year.
- Confirm circuit, receptacle, voltage and permitted continuous load with the installer.
- Check complete-product listing and any local installation or inspection requirements.
